Fry’s Food Stores Round-Up Campaign and Coin Box Program for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tucson Hits A BIG Goal!
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tucson received a generous gift of $10,082.48 from participating in the Fry’s Food Stores Round-Up Campaign and Coin Box Program. Local Fry’s stores in Tucson, Marana and Oro Valley contributed in the month of April to help raise awareness and support BBBST programs. With this donation, BBBST will maintain matches made in prior years and make new mentoring matches for some of the 200+ children that are waiting for a Big Brother or Big Sister.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tucson continues to provide much needed one-to-one mentoring relationships to over 550 children each year. For 53 years, BBBST has matched, carefully screened adult volunteers with at-risk children to develop meaningful and consistent mentoring relationships. Studies have proven these relationships enhance the youth’s self-esteem and assist them in reaching their highest potential and prevent drug/alcohol use, truancy and violence.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tucson is dedicated and committed to increasing the number of children we serve and finding caring adults to match with these children who can benefit from our quality outcome based programs in the years to come. Partnerships with organizations such as Fry’s Food Stores will help us achieve our goals.
