FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: What items do you take?
A: We mainly take gently used clothing, shoes, clothing accessories (belts, hats, etc..), as well as small household items that one person can carry or put on a truck, such as coffee tables, TV’s under 27”, blenders, toasters, computers, monitors, chairs, wood desks, etc…
We do take furniture items such as couches, loveseats, recliner chairs, etc…that are in re-sellable condition (no rips, tears or stains).
We schedule special pickup dates for those items. .
Q: Will you come to my house and pick up my clothing donation?
A: Yes, just call 624-7039 and we’ll schedule a convenient curb-side pick up.
Q: Do you take large household items?
A: We can pick up items that one driver is capable of lifting. For furniture donations in re-sellable condition needing more than one person to lift, contact us for special pick ups.
Q: How does my donation help kids?
A: Big Brothers Big Sisters Donation Center collects donations and sells them to local Savers Thrift Stores with 100% of all proceeds supporting BBBS of Tucson and its youth mentoring services.
Q: Is my donation tax deductible?
A: Check with your accountant, but in most instances, YES. We’ll leave a receipt for you with all curb-side services and for bin donations we will mail you a receipt upon request – just call 624-7039.
Q: Are there certain items you do not take?
A: Since we work in conjunction with Savers Thrift Stores, all items we take must be in good re-sellable condition. For large furniture this means no rips, tears or stains.
Items specifically that we do not take include; Mattresses, Mirrors, Box Springs, Sleeper Sofas, Futons, Large Appliances (Refrigerators, Washing Machines,etc...)Heavy Office equipment (metal desks, copier machines) Weapons, Hazardous Waste, Automobile Parts and the like.

Q: Do you take donations of vehicles?
A: Yes! To donate a vehicle, please call 624-2447 and ask for the Office Manager.
