About Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tucson

Big Brothers Big Sisters is more than just a good deed, it is a wise investment in our community's future. Just by spending time with a child, you will create a positive impact in their life and guide them to a better future. Look at the statistics! Youth involved in the Big Brothers Big Sisters programs are:

• 46% less likely to use illegal drugs
  
• 27% less likely to begin using alcohol

• more trusting of their parents/guardians

Our service is based on our volunteers. A Big Brother or Big Sister is a one-to-one mentor to a child. They share everyday activities, expand horizons, and experience the joy in even the simplest of activities. Just two hours a month can change the life of a child.

Our Mission Statement: To create and support one-to-one adult-to-child mentor relationships guiding youth from a position of risk to one of achieving their highest potential.
